Thank you so much to everyone who’s picked up a copy of Snow Struck (and double thanks if you’ve posted a review on Amazon or Goodreads, and triple thanks if you’ve told all your friends!). I’m currently on the road with Rachel—we’re in Florida this week and will be making some bookstore stops on our way back to Pittsburgh… so this has been a whirlwind couple of weeks!
Just so it doesn’t get lost for the people who don’t scroll all the way down:
I’m doing a virtual book launch with my friend Caroline Carlson at Penguin Bookshop on March 16th!
This isn’t just for kids (although kids are welcome!)—this event is part of Penguin’s Writers Series, so we’re going to be talking about writing and books and publishing and everything in between.
I don’t do a lot of public zooms—most of my virtual events have been with schools—so this is a rare chance for friends and family who aren’t in the same city as me to check out one of my events*… I think it’s going to be a really fun chat!
If you’re reading this and you’re in Seaside, Florida—what an awesome coincidence that would be!—I’ll be signing Snow Struck on the front porch of Sundog Books tomorrow (that’s Thursday) from 3-5pm… aka, signing books in literal paradise 😎
And on Saturday, March 5th at 10:30 am, I’ll be leading a story time (followed by a signing) at Thank You Books in Birmingham, Alabama!
For my Tennessee friends, I’ll be stopping by Parnassus Books in Nashville on Sunday, March 6th for a quick stock signing.
This is really just a drop-in visit to sign books… but if you’re in the area, I’d love to see you. I’m not 100% sure when we’ll get to Nashville because we’re going to be on the road, but if you want to respond to this email I can let you know a little later in the week.
After we finish our road trip, I’ll be more focused on virtual school visits again… but I do have another fun, public, virtual event that hasn’t been announced yet.
It’s going to be hosted by Books of Wonder in New York—one of my favorite bookstores (it’s all kid lit!). That’s going to be on Saturday March 12th at 2:45 PM and will be with some other really fun authors, so I’ll be sharing more information about that when the event listing is live.
I promised BookTok in the subject line, so last but not least: my friend (and Word with Friend!) Arlan at City Books in Pittsburgh hosted me for a signing last week—and she also got me hooked on TikTok!
Arlan has about 100k followers on TikTok… and I didn't know that when she suggested we do a short video together, but now that I got a taste of BookTok: I’m hooked! You can check out Arlan’s account for City Books here, she’s really the best.
Long story short, I have my own TikTok account now, too—and it’s actually pretty fun, so Rachel and I will probably be posting there every once in a while:
I’m writing this in between stops on the road, so more from me later… but in the meantime, I’m taking this “Storminess Continues” header as our motto for this little book tour:
Storminess Continues!
Your friend,
